There lies the problem ... whether the public perceive the Council to be
responsible! As a matter of course and to ensure consistency and
transparency, Mole Valley District Council always gives 6 weeks notice for
any works to trees in a CA. Why wouldn't we?

This is of course a presumption that trees in the Council's management are
actually in 'good' management. Whether that is a safe assumption or not is a
moot point.....
