On the back page of BS5837 it says 'this does not preclude the free use, in
the course of implementing the standard, of necessary details such as
symbols, and size, type or grade designations...'
I sent a couple of emails this morning to addresses on their website (incl
copyright@xxxxxxxxxxx.com - seemed like a good place to start) asking for
clarification for using 1 drawing.
No response yet, maybe because of overload from enquiries with tree
addresses. 

will pass on any response if I get one.
