Bill
I have always known them as pleachers, but may be a local thing?!
Try the BTCV handbook from memory that was very useful! Google search would
bring it up I suppose

Subject: Hedge Management Terminology
Right ho,
How do people refer to the art of 'Hedge Laying?' I mean is it a 'laid'
hedge or 'layered?' Or should I just say 'pleached?'
'Layering' to me is a propogation technique, but my hedgerow books are a
bit
vague so perhaps it's a localised thing.
Thanks as ever.
Bill.
