Has anyone got that research paper on drainage and tree roots because
that gives the figures, but the short of it is that yes this would work
as a temporary solution but long term a dry crush zone need creating, so
remove current wall and rebuild, (I'm sure there is a paper on this to?)

We've got a situation where a group of mature Holm Oak are growing from
a raised area supported by a wall along a highway. The wall is showing
cracks along it's length. Rather than carry out any works to the trees
one suggested engineering solution is to use ground anchors at right
angles drilled into the wall and the raised area to act as support (see
attachment). Has this solution been used by any of you guys before now,
or if not, is it feasible?
Ian
