We are over regulated here - have they heard of RA's in British
Columbia? They probably wouldn't care. They'd care about wrecking a
helicopter of that nature tho' so I suspect commercial interests ensure
safety.

Timber is worth a fortune. In Canada there is a whole business built
upon diving for logs sunk decades ago from the timber rafts.

I undertook a verification measure of 6000 teak trees in Central America
a couple of years ago. Value was circa $10 million. If the access had
been difficult a helicopter would have been well worth while.

So I suspect that those Canadian foresters are making money out of that
whacking great Helicopter's production.

Thanks Julian, however I must say that does not look like an economically
viable operation and the risk assessment must be astounding, the potential for
disaster looks huge....
