Its certainly far more cumbersome than our form, and like you I don't recall
seeing any consultation outcomes.
I'm finding that increasing use of the 1app form means less pre app
consultation and that results in a poorer and more protracted service (and
more work for both applicant and TO).
Someone here pointed out that their authority had successfully omitted the
requirement for 3 copies but I am advised that because this is embedded in
the form it cannot be changed. I must say its not very sustainable to
insist on a blizzard of paper that is unnecessary, and there are many
applicants out there who do not have ready access to a photocopier, unless
they queue in the post office that's about to be shut down.
Maybe there is sufficient flexibility in government to make further changes
following a period bedding in.
Quoting Chris Hastie <Chris.Hastie@xxxxxxxxxx.gov.uk>:
Am I right in thinking that the results of the consultation exercise
which closed in February have yet to be released?
We are starting to see more and more applications submitted via the
planning portal. And frankly, they're rubbish.
