Dear all,
I'm trying to identify a (juvenile?) white chalky fungal bracket found
between the buttresses of a veteran beech tree. After looking through
Lonsdale's Principles of Tree Hazard Assessment my hypothesis
gravitated towards Perenniporia fraxinea or perhaps Ganadema
(resinaceum). Ridgeoporous has also been mentioned too. Any ideas?
See attached. Thanks, Ian
