TREES: THE KEY TO CLIMATE PROOFING OUR CITIES- London, 10th July 2008.
A 10% increase in urban tree cover could neutralise rising city
temperatures, but large trees with irreplaceable climate-control benefits
are being lost at an alarming rate. This pioneering conference explores
practical possibilities to reverse tree loss within current planning
framework. It can be done: our objective is to define how to do it. FINAL

I put an outdoor 12volt LED system in last year. It's childs play to install,
the lamp voltage is non lethal and the systems go up to IP68 rating so it can
live outdoors and even light up that obligatory water feature. There is
plenty to chose from, stand lamps, wall mounts, and recessed fittings. You
can even have ones that change colour to illuminate that nice pond if you
like.

The lamps draw milliamps of current so they run cool, your wiring can be much
smaller than mains voltage and your carbon print is more slipper than boot.

You could feed the wires into a plastic conduit and bury it about a scratch
deep.Andy
