Pre drill the hole and then insert pipe it should come out easy leaving AA`s
to do there thing, discrete.

All academic as I hope we all realise. But out of interest there is a lance
you can buy that sticks a small hypo type of thing in the bark that kills
quick. Used for thinning to waste.

You got me abit confused there Ben how would I remove the pipe which
would now have 2 AA batteries behind it? And why not leave the lot much
easier.

If you were of a mind to do such stuff then to drill the hole insert the
pipe and drop a couple of AA batteries in and then remove said pipe.
