Hi

An owner of mature Wellingtonia has been given an over the phone quote
of £4,000 - £6,000 to install a lightning conductor to the tree. Having
no experience of these at all, is this price realistic or could it be
done much cheaper?

Her family has already lost one welly to lightning on the site, but she
can't afford to protect the other at the price quoted.

Any advice or opinions on or off the forum are welcome.

Cheers

Moray Simpson
