TagonaTie type shown in a previous email IMO would not last long in public
places as they need to be secure to dispel interfering hands.

 

I have been using for some years a heavy duty stapler for aluminium tags as
I know many of you also use.

They last for up to five years but if the stem increment is increasing
quickly then they only last a couple of years.

 

The attached photographs were taken today of high quality ties that must
have been in place over 5 years.

Clearly do not fix them on a pruning wound.
