If a map is an essential part of the instructions then the client pays for it.
You will be able to anticipate the requirement for mapping with any given
project and the provision of them (it) is one of the earlier questions one
explores (and agrees)with a client.

Luke said it all - you pay about £50 for a 200m2 digital plan - but the cost
is dependant on how many buildings there are in the area you buy. More
buildings more cost - as it took longer to survey.
