Most of us drive and some of us like to use the train. IMHO venues 'off the

ridiculous costs & unnecessary hassle

conference venues? I was making this argument 15yrs ago...sigh..., Bill
Well while moaning about it, I do see the problems; we need a venue where
there might be some interesting trees and space for some trade demos and some
climbing competitions and then it's got to have accomodation at reasonable
rates; Can't really see the Doncaster Moat House fulfilling those
requirements.
So in all a Campus University is probably gonna be the place....
Canterbury might not be so bad but for rail engineering works and the
interruptions...
Then again I understand the numbers that went to Stirling were only half
those that went to York. And I quite enjoy the jaunt down to Exeter if the
train
works properly. No doubt we'll find the numbers when we get there so we'll
see whether Canterbury will become a regular venue.
Bill.
PS Mr Hastie: Did you want a lift or are you making a point?
