Thats right...

My view and the approach I take as a LPA Tree Officer is to accept for 
reistration well made, or if you like, fit for purposes of determing the 
proposal appy's or notifications, be they by email, bullet-point letter, or I 
guess, via the planning portal, but I inform people not to bother with 
multiple copies, as I am sick of binning them.  I am an Arboriculturalist, 
not a Planner, so don't do multiple copies : )

I well remember a concisely written proposal which came across my desk on the 
back of a chinese takeaway menu, complete with what appeared to be a water 
colouring of 3no. Willows to be formatively pruned...which was nice.
