That was fascinating Howard, thanks. I like the rather Victorian
explanation of genetics to explain it (criminals with eyes too close
together etc etc). Also plays on the social stereo types like Germans
having no sense of humour, the Irish are stupid and now the Brits are
tree hating vandals. Amazed he didn't mention binger drinking.
It does rather sound like he is talking about cherries doesn't it? Hit
by vehicles, branches snapped off for flowers. Maybe the species choice
was an issue
Some issues remain despite any advancement we make. There does seem to
be greater civic pride in other European countries.
