Bill, I can do all that for you tomorrow if you need ... However, our
forms will go up on our website at
http://www.molevalley.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=467 as pdf's which you
can fill out with your scratchy old postal pen and Quink ink ...

Ta very much Chris.
I've just been to the Planning Portal and made an application. It seems
I've still got to send a plan through the post. And it's just taken me
20 minutes of form filling and box ticking to do what I could have done
in a letter in
5 minutes.....
To me this seems to have put a load of work in the hands of the
applicant or his/her agent yet there's still no requirement for an LA
to have any sort of Arb to examine it.
Having also gone through the consultation repsonse I think I can safely
say this will reduce TOs work load; plenty of people aren't going to
bother applying when confronted with this lot. However I think the DC
Officers are going to be doing a lot of overtime, trying to catch up
with the itinerants or pursuing householders who couldn't be ar5ed.
It seems we're getting away from the principle that growing a tree is an
altruistic act and making it a deed that runs the risk of becoming a
burden......
Bill.
PS. Could some genius turn the form into a word document template that
we could then fill in using the PC, print off and stick in an envelope?
I've just had a quick try and failed.
