I know some antipodean arborists subscribe to this forum and others may be
interested in this?

The draft Australian Standard (DR AS 4970) 'Protection of Trees on Development
Sites' is available on the Standards Australia website at:

The deadline for comments on the draft is February 13th 2009 (assuming close

play on that day, although it is not stated?).
