How can you put aside any experience they may have? Surely that is key.

There are many aspects to 'forestry' and many routes in to the ICF -
some of them are arboricultural. I'm a Chartered Forester. I have no
idea how to manage upland sitka plantations and am certainly not
competent to do so. On the other hand, I like to think I know a bit
about trees on development sites. Particularly since the critical
analysis that formed a large part of my ICF membership assessment was on
that very subject.
