I think  Boring(s) would be an accurate definition.




Saws produce sawdust, planes produce planings, spokeshaves produce
shavings, therefore drills produce drillings, whatever material they're
used in.

To saw, to plane, to shave, to drill. Aye theres the rub: (presumably a
rubber produces rubbings or nothing at all if that's its intended
use...!)
