Hi Paul, have they tried Eden project? I have some contacts with the
nursery and garden management team if that would help.

Subject: donation of plants

Anyone know who may be conducive to being approached by a cash strapped
zoo for a donation of shrubs and small trees. An advertising plaque for
the company could be set up and delivery could be paid no problem.
Visual quality of plants is less important as they would be used inside
some enclosures. The zoo is undergoing a big change having been run down
by the previous owner and donations would be welcome- it needs more
customers. I believe it also has some charitable status attached as a
school of learning.

Also i have a question regarding the suitability of siting a petting zoo
under an enormous , very beautiful and spreading turkey oak. The trunk
would be fenced off to keep the sheep and goats etc away but due to the
scaffolds being very long i have nightmares of summer branch drop
killing hundreds of cheerful children. Tree is healthy with no history
of breakage and all limbs appear sound. The owner is set on siting the
area there.

cheers

Paul
