Choice of street trees

Now let's try getting back to basics and away from the 1:10,000/Query that's
going nowhere.

In my town the council are ripping up the town centre and redesigning to
make it more difficult to drive into town. Why not as it's the motorists
that pay the taxes!

They are planting trees in paved areas and I have noted a number of ANS
rootballed Acer campestre.

Personally I do not rate this as a suitable species as it's never tall and
forms a low dense crown.

More suited for open parkland and hedgerows in my opinion.

Any views?

P please consider the environment - do you really need to print this ?
