Hello All,
has anyone else read the article in todays Telegraph - it says the 200 year
old Lucombe Oak in Crewkerne, Somerset is due to be cut down asap due to a
fungus blighting its roots, and the local authority fearing they will be sued
if it fell on someone.

Does anyone from down that way have any more info?  What is the fungus?

I was hoping to see it in two weeks time, as I will be on holiday near there
(a break away at last!) - I hope it is still there then.

Thanks
Bettina
