Sounds weird but I recall pruning an Oak for a guy and he routinely swept  
up fallen acorns into a corner of his garden, where they germinated and he  
clipped them down regularly, less than 6" tall; a sort of Oak lawn which was 
not  unattractive. Makes a change from Camomile I guess.
