RE: Hedgerow removal query

This is a surprisingly widely held view that is simply not true - I think
they get confused in the section about the length of hedgerow to which the
regs apply ie an isolated section of hedge less than 20m with no connections
is not covered but you can't make a gap of 20m in an existing hedge or widen
a gateway to 20m etc

Thank you for the responses so far.

My client has been insisting that he can take out up to 20m of hedgerow
without having to tell anybody about it or replant it.

I said that was not the case, but just wanted to double check with the wisdom
of the UKTC.

In this instance, none of the exemptions would apply, and I know the LA will
take a dim view of removing this hedge.

Many thanks for your help, and any more comments gratefully received.

regards,
Bettina
