In a recent thread about arb, tree care and UF research in UK I mentioned the
Tree Fund. This promotional e-mail just arrived and I thought it might be
interesting to UKTC. The links are there to get the whole story. Not sure
if the graphics will come through in the message body.
Happy Holidays.

Money for research doesn't grow on trees.
Government funding for arboriculture research is
disappearing, and more researchers are turning to the TREE Fund for the
research dollars needed to meet the changing needs of our urban forests.
In 2010 the TREE Fund funded just 20% of the research
proposals it received. As a consequence many important questions remain
unanswered and many new ideas remain untested.
The challenges to the world's urban forests evolve daily.
The knowledge to meet those challenges must evolve as well. Your gift to the
TREE Fund provides the tree care industry with new information needed to keep
its workforce safe and our urban trees healthy.
Please be generous. Healthy trees are rooted in research,
and the future of arboriculture research depends on you.

grants, scholarships and programs
Your tax-deductible gift to the TREE Fund
helps keep our urban forests "evergreen". Thank you!
