Hi Fiona,
unfortunately the trees had to be felled and the pool was built - it was an
older style planning permission and the conflict between trees and
development was not picked up at the time by the local authority.
To compound matters, the Pine had most of its crown out over the house being
restored and a very dodgy fork. That was an interesting take down to watch.
