Ganoderma applanatum/australe on n.maple - implications

Subject: Ganoderma applanatum/australe on n.maple - implications

Can anyone comment on the ability of norway maple to withstand colonisation
by Ganoderma applanatum/australe?

I have a mature n.maple with a couple of youngish brackets at the base, sound
hammering and probing at base reveals no discernable problems but there are
two medium sized limbs in the upper crown dying off.

Thanks

Richard
