I believe Dr Percival was whisked before a court for saying the same thing!

Would you care to elaborate Tony? It sounds a little far-fetched.....

The subject of trees and golf courses has been raised within UKTC before. I 
don't actually think Phil's problem was associated with golf balls, although 
his second photo might have been. I was puzzling as to why the fairway of one 
course was sprinkled with pieces of Sycamore bark, and then witnessed a golf 
ball hitting a tree, which scattered bark like shrapnel! (IIRC the ISA 
pamphlet recommends planting thick barked species like Wellingtonia.)
