<<All in all, the whole response to the event seems to have been amazingly
sensible>>
Hi Jerry
Indeed, some of the comments refreshingly do. However, and interestingly,
the risk ramping fly in the ointment of proportionality is again the tree
surgeon (like with the sleeping child who didn’t die or wake up in the
Wallsend Poplar failure onto the roof that didn't cause any harm I posted
last year). "It’s lucky nobody got killed", they say.
The 'what if' being far more newsworthy than the 'what is'.
I notice the 'policeman' also appears slightly disappointed with the no
death/harm outcome, and prefers the grim speculation of magnified and
unrealised possibilities over the small cost blandness of reality.
"One of the policemen said if we’d been just a few feet forward it would have
got us,...”
Cheers
