I agree with Glyn, and personally wouldn't use such a condition ... You
give them 2 years to complete the work, require it be carried out in
accordance with BS.3998. Specifying they prune only at certain times is
loaded with problems. Nothing in nature strictly follows the seasons for
a start so your condition is floored to some degree. You might
additionally ask that pruning not be carried out in such a way or at
such a time as to expose the tree to ... Certain risk but, I think it's
all getting too heavy handed ... as said, you could never enforce these
type of conditions and therefore, that makes them inappropriate ...

Probably would.......but how would such a condition be enforced in the
event of a breach?
