Horse chestnut is one tree I have never heard of before, good to know, Lime
seems to be its natural home but loves poplar and robinia in my experience
many apples too. I am dying to see it in an Oak in which it is sacred I
believe to both the Jews and Druids?

Orchards and Wildlife (Common Ground ISBN 870364 20 1) has a paper by
Jonathan Briggs. Plantlife bought out the excellent "Kissing goodbye to
Mistletoe?" in 1999 ISBN 872613-08-X by (mostly)....Jonathan Briggs. I
don't see it very often down here in Devon, but for when I do its on apple,
lime, robinia and Horse Chestnut. When I was doing line clearance years ago
in the Newbury area we used to regularly come across large limes absolutely
festooned with huge bunches of mistletoe.
  cheers
