Hi Tahir, sorry for delay in response, we have various pairs of loppers here
from cheap to expensive, I personally don't like any as I believe that with a
pair of secatuers and the right pruning saw, you will make better pruning
cuts, what I teach the students is to use loppers to reduce the bulk or
volume of the part or plant and use a saw for the fininshing cuts, my
persoanl all round frav being the silkly pocket boy, which looked after you
can almost shave with and will last many years. Felcos are our fravourites
followed ARS,the felcos come in various head sizes and lenghts of handles, we
also have some with carbon fibre handles - strong but light. Bypass is
definitely better and you can get racheted or geared versuions to reduce
strain. Hope this helps.
Cheers
martyn

Subject: Lopper recommendations
The last bit of kit I was recommended here were Silky Fox saws. I am now in
need of a decent set of loppers, I bought a set of Bahco ones last year but
they're not particularly light (steel handles I think) nor long reach, I find
it difficult to get a really clean cut. Is there a brand that you lot would
recommend?
