Reminds me of the story about the Yanks and Ruskies at the height of the cold
war in space developing something that would write in space. Uncle Sam spent
zillions of dollars on something clever, Sergei took a pencil.

Use a pencil - They never run out of ink and work on wet paper

My lesson of yesterday was to take more than one pen when looking at trees a
great distance from the car. I was trailing around after someone pointing out
dozens of trees he wanted to do x, y and z to, at great rapidity, while I
tried to scratch the details onto paper with a cheap and inkless pen.
