Would agree looks like chicken in woods, the old fruiting bodies do go chalky 
and crumbly.

This FB is on a White Poplar about 2m up, any thoughts would be appreciated, 
doesn't appear to fit exactly any of the usual suspects Perenniporia or 
Phellinus,
