Hi Paul, what's your problem mate ... Sounds like a pretty useless TPO
to me and the only use it does have, is that replacement trees can be
required ... As such, the TPO should not be an obstruction to
appropriate development ... So, why was it served? Look at the notice as
that should outline why the trees were protected! But, does that really
matter?

I have a client with twenty or so Apple, Plum and Cherry all in a group.
The trees are subject to a recent TPO (possible development I think).
The Planning report schedule states that the 'orchard' is in poor
condition with many partly collapsed. Remedial recommendations include
removal of collapsed apple and dead or diseased plums. I've not seen the
trees yet, but my questions are, why do you think they were ALL TPO'd in
the first place and secondly after removing the collapsed, dead and
diseased trees, there is unlikely to be anything left anyway? Just seems
a bit mad to me.........
