I agree with Simon Jones on this one, I've never actually consulted the
LPA, but I usually take a view depending on the nature of the site and
trees on it.

Conversely I've had a couple of recent cases where the inital survey and
report were done under the 2005 BS, the client has changed the layout,
so I've updated the report to reflect that and, while I'm at it, to
comply with the 2012 BS, but haven't resurveyed the sites as the intial
surveys were done quite recently, well under a year in both cases.

On the subject of updates I do get annoyed by clients who simply MUST
have the report by tomorrow morning, then three years later come back
for an update, having done nothing with it in the meantime.
