During the storms last weekend a number
of trees were damaged near my home. The
Beech in the attached picture blew over
in the night 

in front of a block of flats and the
fire Brigade were called. The attached
photos I took on Boxing Day that will
hopefully illustrate the problem. 

The roots on examination are like paper
Mache.

 

During the 1987 storm the area was
severely damaged by several large trees
and since then this block of flats was
built on site of former

demolished local council offices.
