Or Colletia cruciata/paradoxa - see image attached. Lovely scented flowers,
this time of year, and very stiff savage cladodes! Grows to 3-4m high and
wide. Lovely.

At Northampton Parks Dept.C.1975 that planting smaller stock resulted in less
vandalism to such trees and shrubs as it appeared to be too much trouble for
the vandal to bend down to break them off.

Shoulder level stock got the damage.

maybe plant Colletia armata in future, that'll make them think twice!!

While walking my dogs along one of my regular routes within a small

see the festivities have resulted in the removal of 3 young recently

planted scots-pines. All freshly cut at ground level.

A few remain but I don't hold out much hope for them surviving until

after xmas!

Shame, they were about 6-7ft tall and only in the ground for 2 years

(root balled I believe). Nice and bushy much like you would find in B&Q I
guess.
