On elm I'd go for P.squamosus too, although it does have a yellow
tinge. That might be the photo.
It is an odd time of year for it to appear, but the temperature is high for the time of year, the grass is still growing round here. Fungi seem less bothered by the time of year than other organisms, this pic is from April 2011 when there was a massive fruiting of Laetiporus at the same time the bluebells flowered.
