Slightly obscure story in yesterday's Sunday Times: Apparently there's
something of a shortage of semi-mature trees in California. Brought about
by the new Apple HQ (that's the late Steve Jobs's company not the Beatles,
for those of us who aren't iphone devotees) buying up all the nursery stock.
Clearly they haven't been lectured on the carbon footprint of transplanted
trees by that guy at last year's conference. More's the pity.
is the URL for the story but it might have a pay wall.
