Aphids

Subject: Aphids
From: Hare, Gareth

Dear Hive, this morning I visited a Norway Maple with a house and drive in
close proximity. The drive and cars thereon are covered in aphid excretions
to the extent that the windows won't open and I'm advised that it may have an
adverse effect on the paintwork.

In any case, works to reduce the growth over the drive are impractical
without effectively destroying the tree. The tree is TPO'd and extremely
prominent.

Have any of you any experience with controlling aphids in such a situation?
Any experiences or advice gratefully received.

Regards

Gareth
