Our local Barracks and the surrounding land are designated a conservation
area, there are numerous mature trees on the site, one of which is protected
by tpo.

Subject: TPOs and MOD land
Dear All,
A resident in the London Borough of Hillingdon has been sent a letter by the
MOD stating that they are going to be cutting an Oak down along their
boundary to renew security fencing.
The resident has asked if we can make a TPO to protect the Oak.
It's not really worthy of a TPO, but I am interested in the legal side of
this situation.
Can a Council make a TPO to protect a tree that affects MOD land?
