That's NHBC Practice note 3 1985, which was similar in most respects to
Chapter 4.2 including foundation depth calculation method, based on
Giles Biddle's work. Previous editions of 1969 and 74 were more basic
and advocated maintaining appropriate distances between trees and
buildings rather than deepening foundations, with some species
recognised as being more problematic than others.
