The latest paper on ash dieback “Ash dieback in Britain may cost £15
billion.”

 

has estimated the costs of:

 

Safety felling (roadside): £2.7 billion

Safety felling (urban): £1.6 billion

Safety felling (lineside): £0.4 billion

 

arising from ash dieback.

 

Haven’t quite worked out how they got to these numbers……but sounds like it’s
going to keep someone employed for a while.
