You could try one of the museums that rescues old buildings i.e. the Weald 
and Downland  museum near Chichester Sussex.

We have been asked if we know anyone who can identify and visually assess 
timber beams in an existing historic building. We don't. 
Has anyone on UKTC come across a firm that carries out this work?
