Could be a plum, but very deep veined. Don't think it's a goat willow on
that view. Doesn't look like a cherry to me

FYI, Here's another picture of the foliage...
but actually it was the curious knobbly yellow growth I was querying,
not the tree!
(ps - for the avoidance of doubt, I was joking about Durian!)

Any ideas what's going on here -
There's very little information - the enquirer only says that "there
are two cherries with weird yellow growths"  and "These are approx
plum size and have orange powdery stuff on them."
(Cherries...? leaves look more like plum.  Unless they're Durian
perhaps!)
