Hi Philip,
Nothing up to date I'm afraid, but try Hedges by E Pollard, MD Hooper & NW
Moore - new naturalist, Collins, 1974,
Hedges Shelterbelts & Screens by ADC Le Seur, Country Life publications, 1951
with lots of later reprints; FC and Min of Ag did a load of research onto
shelterbelts and windbreaks for hill farms etc, and did publish some stuff,
but I do not have a copy, nor can I think of how to find a reference.
Try asking the librarian at the RFS; they have a very comprehensive collection
As to species choice, its going to depend a lot on the habitat, soil/geology,
TOPEX scores etc
Best of luck!

Atb
Rupert

I am looking for an up to date publication on shelterbelts & windbreaks.

I do have a comprehensive book by Caborn published in 1965 but there must be
later publications or papers.

I have been to the FC site but I seem to not find anything and TreeSource do
not seem to have anything.

Any links would be useful especially on species choice.

Kind regards

Phillip Ellis
