Yes there are a lot of acorns around this year but weight wise, look at the 
attached, high up on a tree that has recently become a "car-park" tree as a 
car park has expanded adjacent to this tree. Nice car park, but I don't 
reckon this tree will last for long

 

Acorn weight:                                    4-8 g each

Conker weight:                                 13-21 g each

Weight of the attached:                182 g

 

I can tell you what it comes from, but does anyone care to guess?
