Similar here Bill. I thought I’d seen a small Elephant this morning but it
was just a very well fed Squirrel.

Subject: Is this what might be called a Mast Year?

I note in this weekend's Sunday Times The former Miss Hosegood responding
to a question about acorns falling from a neighbour's tree. She nobly
avoided issuing the obvious advice of "get a life," but it prompted me to
realise that it's not only round here that Oaks seem to be having a very
productive season. The Oak tree that hangs over our shed is liberally
scattering acorns, that land very noisily, and it seems that every Oak I
pass has produced a similarly massive crop.
Anybody care to comment?
Bill.
