If the tree is in real danger of collapse it is also a hazard to the bat!

Subject: BS5837 - how to categorise a hazardous tree with a known bat roost 
in it?

Dear All,
I have a mature Beech with many Ganoderma fungal brackets around the base and 
up the trunk, numerous old pruning wound cavities and other veteran features, 
and an identified bat roost in it as well.

It is within a site requiring a BS5837, and yesterday shed a very large limb 
across the road.

Question - would you class this as an A3 tree, or as a category U?
